Club MO/GK celebrates it’s 100th session

On Monday, 30th June, our Monday Club MO/GK group celebrated its 100th session.

Since our inception back in March 2023, we’ve had over 75 goalkeepers take part in the Monday iteration of Club MO/GK, including three (Riley, Max and Charlie) who were with us at our very first, and still train with us today!

Reaching the milestone is an achievement that I’m immensely proud of, and one that wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the players, their parents, and the superb coaches who help put on our sessions every week.

We marked the occasion with a special session featuring some fun shot-stopping practices, small-sided games and goalie wars.

We are also joined by two special guests in the form of Andy Cade-Watts, former Hashtag United player and current women’s team goalkeeping coach, and James Askew, an exciting local goalkeeper and founder of the popular future_goalkeeping social media channels. They joined in with the sessions and helped hand out our special commemorative medals at the end, so thanks to both of them for their time also.

We also welcomed local photographer Roger Robinson along, who captured some brilliant photos, a very small sample of which I include below.

Here’s to the next 100!
