/What is “Club MO/GK”?
Array
Club MO/GK is many things. At it’s very core, it is group goalkeeper training for children aged 6-13, but that is far from the whole story. With Club MO/GK, I am trying to create something that not only gives children a fun, safe place to explore the art of goalkeeping, but helps them develop as players and, more importantly, as people.

Club MO/GK is about FUN
One of the most important principles of the group is that it is fun. That’s not to say that we don’t take our football seriously, but if your children aren’t enjoying themselves then we’re doing something wrong! We don’t shout at our players or boss them around and we always ensure they are having fun.
Club MO/GK is about INCLUSIVITY
Whatever your ability and whatever your experience, you are welcome at Club MO/GK. Our sessions are designed to be flexible enough to provide a gateway to goalkeeping for inexperienced players and provide a meaningful challenge to those looking to seriously progress their goalkeeping.
Club MO/GK is about GROWTH
We have a range of different initiatives designed to help grow our players. From a weekly “Captain”, who is designated to set a good example and practice important leadership skills, to “Challenge Cards”, which encourage the players to try different aspects of the game and develop themselves.
Club MO/GK is about PEOPLE
We don’t just want to create goalkeepers, we want to create better people. Our group is inclusive and supportive of one another and we actively promote personal growth, a good attitude, and a desire to set a good example. Your child will learn skills here that will help them in later life.
Club MO/GK is about GOALKEEPING
Last but by no means least, we are about goalkeeping! Our qualified and experienced coaches love goalkeeping and want to instill that passion in the players they work with. By promoting the position and providing a platform that allows children to discover the position in their own way and at their own pace, we hope to help the next generation of goalkeepers find their place in the game, whether that is simply having a kick about with their mates down the park, or pursuing a career in the game.
